Replacing Circuit Breaker
Are RV circuit breakers the same type as home breakers? I have a breaker in our 3931FB that's gotten weak and needs replacing. I haven't pulled it yet but wanted to know if I can get a replacement at Home Depot. Thanks

I bought one at Home Depot to replace one of mine that got weak. Don’t remember the brand now as it as several years ago. There are different form factors for circuit breakers, so make sure you are getting the right one. Look for a type or model number on yours.

It's strange that a fairly new rig would have a weak breaker already. More likely, the circuit is being overloaded causing the breaker to trip. If you can get access to a clamp-on amp meter, I would check the load on the wire on the load side of that breaker.

Also, to see if the breaker is bad, try swapping with another breaker. I think there are at least 2 of each wattage in the panel, but maybe not - take a look.

inside the panel on the name plate data are listed the supported and more importantly rated breakers the panel will accept.

These photos are from the www.se.com site which is the Square D site. The first one is the front view, and the screw is at the bottom where the wire is attached. The second photo shows the notch at the back at the bottom of the breaker. The third photo shows the contact at the back at the top of the breaker. To remove the breaker, be sure the power is off, then pull the top of the breaker toward you and it will pivot out, away from the contact at the top and you just lift the breaker out of the panel. To install, it is just the reverse of removing it. You will need to remove the cover from the wall to access the breakers before removing the breaker.
