During our 2 months in AZ, since I flunked shop long ago, we asked a friend here to build a bookcase for the living room in our 3655FL. Took him three days, about 8 hours work.
Fits right under the big living room picture window. Made of oak, stained and poly-u for protection. Total materials cost - $200. It is 21 inches high, 59 inches long. The 2 shelves can be made adjustable. It serves as a "side table" for me in the recliner and convenient storage for lots of "stuff".
Last August, Nancy bought a standard coat hook and mounted it on the foreward facing wall under the wall lamp, in the living room. Holds two light weight jackets and a couple of caps. Easy access from the doorway. It has been in place over a year and works fine.
The picture below is of the bookcase, looking forward right at 45 degrees from the living room entry. The first link is to a picture looking forward to the TV and front right cabinets. The second shot is of the coat hook, as mounted on the wall. The third link is to a picture looking aft from the TV. It shows the bookcase, after it was "stocked", the recliner in position, and the jackets on the wall hook.
Everything needed from the recliner is "at hand" in the bookcase. We think it is a good improvement, for the $, to the FL layout.
