Tank and Frame schematic

I called customer service the other day seeking to get a schematic of the frame of my trailer showing the positions of the tanks and was told Keystone will not supply that to a retail customer for fear I would use it to modify the trailer. I am just looking for the frame layout and tanks, not reconstruction of the trailer. Any help would be appreciated.

Generally fresh water tank is near very rear of frame ... galley tank above or near rear axle ... main grey and black tanks ahead of axles under main storage compartment. I can't accurately answer as to units with rear baths. All tanks are widthwise between the IBeams.

Don't you just love keystone customer service. I reworked the plumbing routing on our 2015 while installing direct threaded rod pulls to replace the cable pulls on my two black and two gray tanks. When I dropped the front underbelly, found quite a mess. Hanging wiring, sloppy connectors, amateur splicing, chunks of wood and building materials, a screwdriver, pretty nice stripper/crimping tool, and other crap. All bouncing around loose under there. My advice, drop the underbelly (mine is split in two sections, not hard to do) and inspect and identify valve locations etc and at the same time rebundle wiring etc and clean up whatever else you may find. Only have to do it once.

Exactly what Iretired06 said, Take the coroplast covering off, or cut access panels into it to have a look. Lots of wires and cables to tie up. Also look at how your fresh water tank is secured, I reinforced the tanks on my last 3 trailers.

x2 what dieselguy said. Here are a couple photos from the factory tour. The first shows the rear of the frame where the fresh water tank goes; not in place when photo was taken. The second shows the two forward wast tanks, I think the shower gray tank is the forward one, the black tank is behind it; the galley gray tank is farther back; not in the photo.

I think they are afraid an owner will go in and correct all their lousy workmanship.

What I am actually looking for is information on the hitch on mine. I was looking at a 2018 version of my trailer that had a rear bumper and bike rack. I bought a "2018 1/2" at the Hershey show that did not have the bumper, but the hitch instead. My question is are these 2 items actually a rear cross member of the frame, since one was removed and replaced by the other in the updated version of the trailer. I will never use the hitch and the only thing it does is keep me from being able to back the trailer up my driveway because the mounting brackets dig into the blacktop, so I need to shim the tires with lumber on the one side of the trailer to clear. Without the brackets and hitch, I think it goes right up the driveway. I know I will never get an answer to that from Keystone. I am thinking about calling Lippert

Not sure if you unit looks like this, but I do not believe a rear cross member was removed. The hitch was simply welded to the bottom of the frame. It is a 2" receiver, but only rated at 300 pounds and not rated for towing.

Does anyone at Keystone have or look at wiring or plumbing diagrams on the assembly line? Every unit of the same model is different. Not any stage completed professionally.

I think they just throw it all in the pool and hope it fits when they get done no rim or res-sen at all that's how they get so meany out per-day and then the buyer does all of the testing! for them that's y the PDI is so important to before you sine any paper work.

That hitch looks much stronger than the one on my 2011 34545as. I believe mine has a rear cross member

By dropping the belly in the rear of the unit, you will be able to see if it is the way scottz has posted or if there is a cross member there or if it has been removed on your model.

My compliments to scottz for the photos you've taken on the tour. They will come in handy, if not by you by others here on the Forum.

In my opinion something else to consider is whether or not the HC has the same 12" frame as the Montana or does it have a 10" frame? That could make a difference.

Mine has 2 brackets that hang down about 4 inches that are welded to the frame. the hitch is then bolted to the brackets from the sides with 4 carriage bolts.
