Bedroom Slide Leak
We have a leak in our bedroom slide when it is opened by the pedestal area and floor. I noticed the carpet was wet between the bed and the closet door. Presently we are at the rally and had it at Keystone last week for that and some other warranty work.
We have heavy rain here so I can see that it still leaks. Hopefully I can get back in this week for service and they will be able to locate the entry point of the leak.
Has anyone else had this problem and what was the solution?
Thanks,
Marge & Jim

I have the same leak, do you have the little gutter behind the vertical rubber in the bottom corners?
It seems that this gutter pushes out the black vertical rubber and water can get behind the rubber and come in.
I push the rubber in at the bottom, which exposes the gutter and this stops the water from coming in. Its not a permanent fix, but it stops the water. If you need a picture, let me know.

Please put any photos on here, if you can. Have the same leak on mine at the lower forward corner.

Here is a picture of what my vertical seals looks like when the slide comes out.
Here is a picture of when I push the vertical seal in which seems to stop the water from coming into the bedroom.
All I really do is just push the seal in so it tucks under the little gutter. I think a better fix would be to find something as thick as the gutter and glue it under the gutter so the seal will push out as the slide goes out.

We had a leak there as well. Took it in and they did some resealing at the top and along the trim that runs along the outside bottom of the slide. No leaks since. If water can get behind that bottom trim piece, it will run along that into the trailer. I think it would take a horizontal driving rain to force water in where the bottom of the gutter protrudes through the rubber seal. I would also checked the joints where that gutter is pieced together running down the side of the slide behind the rubber seal.

We had a leak in the bedroom slide as well. I noticed that the factory calk was not good along the trim that runs along the outside bottom of the slide, I calked it and No leaks since.

We brought it in to Keystone and they caulked and sealed the bedroom slide. Glad to say that it has been almost a week with alot of rain and so far no leaks.
Thanks to all for the help and information.

Wish I could, they never did say where they resealed and caulked it.
They are suppose to send us an email stating what they fixed, if I get more information I will be glad to share it with you.
I know how frustrating a leak can be. I believe it was the top of the slide and the bottom strip.

We had the same problem w/our '07 3400. Checked the rubber flashing and found it had not extended properly. Used the awning rod to flip it out and it became part of our routine. No problems since.

I purchased out Monte used and someone had taken clear silicone caulk and formed an extra dam-type structure with a hole through it right at the gutter to let any water run out that may come in and down off the roof area of the slide. I've shown it to several MOC members and they can't beleave the fix but it does work! (Keeping my fingers crossed! )

Hi Rondo, would you mind posting a picture so I can get a better idea of this EXTRA-DAM type structure.

The unit is about 45 miles away at the present and I'll try and get out there and take a picture of it! I can't guarantee I'll be able to post it but maybe Carol S. or John K. can help me out with it. I'll let you know how things turn out and if I have any success!
