Have a great trip! I hope the weather cooperates for you and you miss out on icy, snowy roads. Maybe those parks will have wi-fi, instant phone, or central modem hookup you can use.

Vic,

Last year Victoria Palms had FREE cable modem. As well as free cable TV. Have not called there this year ourselves to see what is the latest scoop, but even if they charge SOMETHING will be available, Course, ya gotta have that laptop to use the cable modem.

OHHH, they also have a computer lab, so you can get on there and use their computers, it is in the main rec building, very near the library.

We might see ya there, if there are any sites when we get in the area. If not, we will find another park in the area.

You will love Victoria Palms, We hope to get back and we hope there are sites, had a hard time draggin us outta there last winter!

Enjoy!

Vickster -

Hope you enjoy your visit in Iowa. Having grown up in Dubuque, I resemble your remark about internet in Iowa. We were there last week for my father's funeral, so I know you are getting some cold weather. Have a safe trip and keep up the postings on your expedition.

From one Winter Texan to another soon to be a Winter Texan. You are going to enjoy the Rio Grande Valley. Your park is right near the biggest flea market in the area. Might see you over the winter as we are in your neighbourhood. We are in McAllen about 20 miles west.

Vickster, check www.jiwire.com to see what wi-fi access is available in rural Iowa. You might be surprised! This site lists an awful lot of wi-fi sites around the country and indicates those that are free, subscription, etc. You can also download an app with all the sites in it so you can check when you don't have internet access.
