Place to store Monty for Winter??

We live in northern NY and travel to Florida in March each year. Trying to get the Monty snow and Ice free to travel is a huge problem every year. Our normal travel route is down I-81 through Pa.. Can anyone recommend a campground along this route south of Harrisburg that might be a nice place to stay for a couple days and then store the the Monty until early March?

Can't help you, but you are doing good in advance planning.
We met a couple three years ago on our way to Colorado. They lived near South Fork and normally headed south in November. But that year they decided to wait until after Christmas. Record snowfall and they could not get out until late April!

Lee, there's a Service Center, Keystone RV Center (http://www.keystonervcenter.com/) just off 81 right at the Mason/Dixon line. They are a PassPort America place. You might call them (800) 232-3279 and inquire. I don't know anything about them. We were thinking of staying overnight on our way South, but we got an earlier start so we made it further South before we stopped. Good luck

Lee,
We live in Syracuse, NY (I work in Watertown and on up into the Adirondacks) and our idea of "winterizing" is: We take our rig to OceanLakes Campground in Myrtle Beach area for Thanksgiving week, stay for 6 or 7 days and then we leave it there. They have a great storage area (in fact, they pull it off your site after you leave to go home) It is about $160 for 3 months. We go back down for spring break, spend a week and then bring it home. Nice thing is if you get a chance to get away mid-winter, you can go down with a car, fly, etc because if you book a site, they put your rig on the site for you and put it back in storage when you leave. We have been doing this for 4 years and it has been great. My brother does it with his Monty too....

Good luck Lee,

Tim
