How long a wait for a new Mountaineer?

I ordered my new mountaineer 9 weeks ago today. The dealer said it came off line last monday. So how long should it take to get out to New Hampshire?? I can hardly stand it! How long have some of you waited for your Mountaineers?

We ordered ours in Mid January 2003 and it arrived at our dealers about 9 to 10 weeks later. I have no idea when it came off the line to know how long it took to get from the plant to the dealer.

Ours was delivered one week after manufacture. It was to replace one the dealer wrecked prior to us taking possession. We are in Southern California and the plant is in Oregon (I think). After dealer prep and finding time in my schedule, we got it twelve days after it was made . We have it our yard now and it is two weeks old today! I think we very lucky to get it so soon, they happened to be finishing another one of the same trailer we ordered one week after ours was wrecked. Hope your get yours soon. What model are you getting?

I guess I'm just being impatient. I could hardly get thru the first 8 weeks, so any additional time is killing me. DogsGoCamping, I read your thread about your experience with your new mountaineer and even called the dealer and asked if they had wrecked mine and didn't want to tell me LOL. Oh I'm just being crazy! Thank God you were able to get a replacement so quickly! I can imagine how you must have felt to get that bad news! Hope your enjoying your new monty!

A lot depends on how backed up they are on deliveries. Our dealer had his own delivery people so we didn't have but a few days wait for the 700+ mile trip. If they're using factory delivery people then it depends on the backlog of deliveries. Your dealer should be able to tell you by now when it will be ready for you to pick up.

Just a curiosity of mine but has anyone ever negotiated with the dealer to pay you for going to the factory and picking it up directly? Probably a silly thought.

Stiles, I tried. Back in July, 2003, my dealer told me I would have to pay the $700 dollars delivery fee anyhow plus he said Keystone forbids private pickup. Since our dealer has his own delivery guys he may have just been protecting them. So, I tried, but failed to negotiate my own pickup.

It took 8 weeks from the time we ordered our Mountaineer to when it came in at the dealers.
