Just purchased a used 2012 3582rl. There is a remote that controls functions such as awning,leveling, outside lights,plus maybe more. Is there a instruction guide available? We would like to know what is e-aux and h-aux controls. Also where is switch for light above mirror near pin box?

Can't help with most of that. We dumped the remote soon after we bought the rig. One thing you do need to know, if the outside scare lights get turned on by the remote they can only be turned off by the remote. The switches inside won't work again until you turn the lights back out with the remote.

The light above the mirror on the pin box should come on whenever the scare lights are on. Had the remote on our 2011, don't miss it on the 2014. The controller went out in the middle of a long trip - nothing would work so repair facility had to wire around it (jury rig) until we got home. They had to replace the whole controller. Also, make sure you carry extra batteries for the remote.

On our 2010, we also dumped the remote, more trouble then it was worth, at least for us.

Like said ... I think the button is labeled "security lights" in the middle of your remote. It turns on your scare lights, the light under your entry step, and the pinbox LED's. I think the scare lights on your panel in the hallway will do so as well. As for the "aux" buttons ... mine doesn't have them, but perhaps someone else will chime in. To activate the remote, press LCI and ON before trying to operate anything. If you don't press any of the buttons for a few minutes, you will see the scare lights blink as the remote will automatically shut off. Read DQDick's reminder about using the security lights with the remote carefully. Some on the MOC don't care for the remote ... I think the ability to sit in my truck and raise or lower the fiver while hitching up solo sells the remote right then and there.

Unlike others who dislike the remote, I love it!!! (I also like the sewer boom but Montana quit on it also). I can adjust the level of the Montana from inside the truck when hooking up, partially open slides while outside to ensure the slide clears trees, power poles and the like (with the DW inside watching for obstructions there).

I assume you have the remote that looks like this.

On my RV, the "H AUX" and "E AUX" don't do anything. I was told they control the rear stabilizers if your rig is so equipped. I have the Level Up system and there are no rear stabilizers.

Don't know about your specific model, but Carl's explanation should work. Mine has a different overlay and different buttons do different things. One thing no one mentioned was that I've got to press "LCI ON" and then the "LIGHT" button just above it to wake up the controller. Then all the buttons will do things, but not until.

I love it and use it exclusively. Note: battery's need to be fresh. If remote begins to have trouble communicating, change battery. I have changed mine twice since March 2012. It's the single best method of avoiding slide damage. The 3750 has five slides and it's too hard to see them from inside the coach! I move my RV four to five times a month. Lots of remote use, never a problem!

I know there are others who LOVE that remote. On our previous Montana the first thing we did was take the batteries out of it and toss it in a drawer, never to be seen again. When we are doing slides one of us are inside watching/listening and one of us are outside watching/listening for proper movement and/or problems. We just feel better using buttons for the systems instead of a remote.

Thanks!!! How did you ever find this? I have been all through the LCI web site and I can't navigate to the Images directory much less down to actual PDFs. Working back up the tree from the url you provided, I see all the PDFs available. It sure would be nice to know what each one was about without having to open everyone. I would think they have this information available to customers in a more coherent fashion. But I sure can't find it.

One of the big advantages of the MOC is someone usually has been there done that or knows where to send you to get what you want/need.
I have this and other "Lip Sheets" downloaded into a folder that I keep in Dropbox for reference wherever I go. I also keep them on my tablet/laptop for quick reference.
I agree that listing only by number is less than helpful but the price is right.

What he said about battery's ! Lol. Just one more thing. J and C. I was confused about why you did not try remote? You still push and hold a buttons. Mine is not automatic. With our 3750, it's almost impossible to see slides and communicate with a lookout. I walk around while holding the button on the remote. I can back them up if a slide is having a problem (which has happened)! Since I usually set my Montana up alone, it's a lifesaver. In fact when looking at a more expensive SOB, I told them " no remote, no sale"!

When we bought our Cougar it came with a remote. I thought was something we would never use. After a few trips it's all we used. Great to walk around the unit and watch for problems. We upgraded to the Mountaineer and when we took delivery I asked where the remote was. Got a blank look. Sure enough, no remote. Just had our maiden trip with our new unit and I'll get used to not having the remote but it sure would be nice to have one.
