awnings over my slide outs

I have awnings over my slide outs and one looks to be a little loose or sagging. I see nothing on top like water so I tried by hand to roll it tight and that did work for a short time but it does not look to stay. I was wondering if you need to lub the ends from time to time? Is that such a thing spraying WD40 in the ends?

You are probably seeing the effects of the slide toppers not being properly tensioned by the factory. What you see is not because of drag on the roller tube. You should be able to find a u-tube video on how to tension them, which is not difficult...just takes time and care needs to be taken to safely do it. John

Is this a new or used trailer? It could be the fabric has stretched or the spring needs tensioning. The article in the link below might be helpful. Good luck.
Please let the forum know what the repair was so we can learn. Thanks.
