Interior Steps

Not sure if this applies to all Montana's but we have a 381 & the kitchen cabinets go to the ceiling. while this is great for extra storage my wife who is 5'-1" is having a hard time with them. Now I know there are lots of step stools we need to find one easy to use & find a place to store it. Just wondering what others have done, any clever solutions?

Steep stool or find a wife that is about 6.4. Folding steep stool stored behind one of the dining room chairs.

Camping world has folding step stools. They fold flat.

Good point we need same in our 381

Very happy with my wife’s dimensions

Was watching one of those RV shows on TeeVee tonight, and they showed a kitchen dinette chair that converted to a step stool. Don't know who makes it, but it is out there somewhere.

I have the model 3402rl and it has a desk chair that matches the dining chairs and it folds into a step stool. It's great for the living area but it's to heavy to drag into the kitchen area every time you want something out of the pantry and would be hard to store because of bulkiness. Need to see just how far reach wife needs for top shelf of pantry and buy stool that fits application. Folding step stools are safest but again they are bulky. Maybe i need to ask my 90 year old mother-in-law. We can't seem to keep her off the ladders. She's already been warned by her doctor to reduce her 3 hour exercises on the tread mill and exercise bike to 2 hours per day. And she wonders why she has chest pains once in a while. All this exercise is probably going to kill her. lol.

Just found it , called a Benjamin chair, looking to see who sells it. Never hurts to have an extra chair either.

My DW is 4'10" so i know your pain. She has a folding 3 step stool and stores it in the big drawer in the hidaway couch.

On the 381 I think there is room for a medium sized two step folding ladder between wall and fridge

That would work also, thanks. I just hate to clutter the place up it has such a nice layout that flows.

We have the same model and same desk chair. Texan is right is is bulky and heavy we do not use it as a step stool. We have a small folding aluminum step ladder that does the job and stores behind the dining room char and slide wall.

I went with the 6’+ wife....less issues with storage. I just take her everywhere I go.

Smile Step Stool

Hello. I feel your wife's pain. I'm 5'2" and I can't reach the top of my cabinets either. I use a fold flat step stool and store it in my pantry out of the way but right in the kitchen where I use it most.

Step stool?

I’m almost 5’2”. I use my 6’ husband for tall stuff. Have him around for something!

We use three things. The fold flat step stool, a 6' husband and when we need to change things like the livingroom AC filters we have a little giant step ladder that folds pretty flat and is stored under the bed.

We have a folding step stool and keep it in the basement. Just get it out when needed.

Interior steps

We bought a flat folding step stool at Walmart. It fits perfect behind the theater seats.

Step Stool

We also have a 381 and my wife is 5’2 on a good day. A normal flat folding step isnt even close to tall enough. We went and picked up a 3 step stool at Lowe’s that has a hand rail at the top. It folds up and stores behind the dining room chair (well we added benches) and the fridge wall.

This one, folds completely flat, and can be opened with one hand.
