Ceiling fan

I have a question about the ceiling fan, in our 2006 3400rl i do not like the plain white globe under the ceiling fan.It says in the packet that you can get an optional light kit 3 fixture.I called keystone and they said that was not right, you had to buy the whole ceiling fan, they said i could go to lowes to buy one, so i went down and bought one, guess what it did not fit. Does anybody on the MOC know of a light kit i can get for this fan.Any help would be appreciated. It would make my wife happy.

we replaced entire fan with new one from Lowe's, about $40.00, we picked our own globes, etc. Note, we have a 2004 year Tana.

My original ceiling fan made lots of noise so I went to Lowe's and bought a quality fan.....a Hunter. Did not want to hassle with the dealer about replacement.

One of the first things we did was to replace that noisy fan. After browsing at Lowe's we found one that we both could agree on. It is nice and quiet and love the light kit. Maybe you could take the original light kit back to the store with you and match one up for the correct size.

Our ceiling fan is not yet noisy but we have only had the 3400 for 9 days. We are sure it will not last long and when it becomes noisy we will go to Lowe's and get a real fan and light kit.Might as well use it till it breaks.

I don't know campbud, it must be the model. After 32 months our fan in our 2955RL is also very quite.

Our 2005 2955rl is very quiet, but I don't particularly like the globe either.

Our fan is quite and still working fine. Used full time for 9 months and now used once in a while. We always turn it on when we go out to the Monty (parked beside the house).
Happy trails..........................

Our orignial fan was noisy, had replaced by dealer (don't get me started, SIGHH) and the replacement was many times worse than the original one. We forgot about it till we got south for the winter (first year). For too many reasons to go into, we chose to get our own fan, installed and has been whisper quiet ever since. We use ours quite a lot too Sue.

Mine is noisy, hangs crooked. I plan on replacing it also. I use it all the time to circulate the air, especially during the winter. They did not spend too much money on these things.

Ours is doing just fine, running 24/7 until we get out of this Texas heat. We don't use the light very often.

Ours was noisy, didn't move much air and Sharon couldn't reach the chains to turn it on so we replaced it with a fan from Home Depot that has remote control for the fan and a dimmer for the lamp fixture. This one moves some air.

Our fan works great and is not noisy at all, "AFTER" I found out what the clatter was all about. Someone at the factory forgot to put a screw in one of the blades, which after the fan was turned up to med speed, the blade pivoted sideways and hit the side of the base and it started to clatter and clang. A trip to the "Home Depot" (I like them better than the local Lowes) to get a screw fixed the problem. AHHHHHHHH SOOTHING.

We must have gotten the "almost perfect Montana" because we haven't experienced any fan noise at all from our ceiling fan. We use it quite often just to keep air circulating and if you didn't look at it you wouldn't even know it was on.

I have a 2005 2980 RLS and the fan started making noise within 6 months of ownership.
The noise started at the high level, now it is at high & medium. Sounds like a replacement is in order. For us the fan is a must have.

So far the perfect fan..however we do note that with the "less expensive" fans they can get noisy after a few months of use as the one in my PC room that I got on sale at Home depot..Whine, whine, whine.

Both of ours were bad from the get go, Al worked on both of them, adjusting, etc. He even took the first one out of the ceiling to check the bracing and such up there, to verify it was stable. He balanced the blades, no loose or missing screws. Think if they are bad, they just are bad. He also tried to rebalance the second one, another couple of hours spent fussing with it to no avail.

He probably fiddled out there for 2 to 6 hours, give or take a few more, with the OEM fan and the replacement done by the dealer.

He spent about 1 hour replacing and fussing and fiddling with the new one! No adjustments done since then, been to Texas and back 2.5 times since then. Have put plumbers tape on the light kit globes.

We love ours, run it a lot, hung an extension on the pull chain for the fan portion, which does not hit the slides when in travel position. Use the lights a lot too that is the one light that is pretty easy to find when we go into the coach and have neglected to leave a light on. It is large and you can feel it and figure it is NOT the slides!

Cheers, and may your fan always work, quietly!
