Splendide 2100 W/D in 3400 RL..?

Has anyone installed this model W/D in their 3400 ?
According to the website specs and the CW staff, it will fit. Any one found that it wouldn't fit, or not be able to close the doors to the "laundry room.

thanks

I think I've read where people have had to change the folding doors so that they open in the center so the W/D will fit properly. Someone will come along with personal advice on this matter.

Go to page 2 and you will find our posting together with pictures of our Splendide 2100 in our 3400RL. No you do not have to do anything with the doors. Hope this helps. Diana

It fits fine. You have to get it back as far as possible and then the knob for setting the mode is a bit behind the door. The doors close great. What some have done is to hinge the doors on each side and they come together in the middle. But we did our just like DiananColin.
Happy trails...................

DiananColin what do you mean page 2? I can't find it. I thought you might have a picture at the end of your post but there isn't one. I would like to see your picture. Thanks Kathi

Go to our website which is www.blakeconsulting.ca and follow the links into RV diary for 2005 and you will find it together with all the photos. What I meant by page two is you have your question on the first page then you click onto page 2 at the bottom and it will take you to the other listing on washer/dryers. Hope this will help you a little more. Diana

Kathi: When you get into our website go to RV Lifestyle on the lefthand side then into RV diary you will then find the pictures under 2005 bits and pieces. Diana

Thanks all,
It seemed like it would fit based on the specs but I wasn't sure what impact the dryer hose would have on the dimensions. I didn't realize DiananColin had that model when I saw your pictures yesterday, thanks.
Parrothead, I like the idea of rehinging the doors to open in the center, I think we'll try that after install, CW has us scheduled for the 30th, along with a movin view satellite system.

Please let us know the ourcome. We would like to have both of these installed at CW on our 3475. I will look forward to hearing how it works for you.

We also added the Splendid washer/dryer in our 3475 Montana. The layout is the same as the 3400 with the kitchen being fixed and not on a slide. I changed the doors so they would open in the middle. The washer/dryer fits ok, but the controls and a lint catcher on the lower front right side could not be opened without taking off the door. With the change (no resizing the doors, just added three new hinges) we can get to all of the controls and lint catcher. We also purchased a flat metal vent tube so the washer/dryer could be recessed back further in the closet.

Ken, Was your model the 2100 or the 2000S?? I know the 2100 is a little larger which is what I'm looking for.

Had to go out to the Montana and see which one we have. Ours is the 2000 with the vent. I would be carefull and measure the area before I bought anything larger. The 2000 has an inch or two on each sides and with the flat vent, it is recessed just behind the door frame.
