Cut hole in side, insert window, enjoy..
I have had a couple of requests to revisit the 2 windows I installed, one in the bathroom, where there was just a wall, the other in the super slide, back side where the window was high on the wall and I couldn't see what the heck was going on out there when I was reclined in our love-seat. I had a window made that was 7" lower.
On our '07 3400RL, the bedroom window was a tilt-out escape window with no screen, so I bought an escape slider and changed that out for ventilation, I have a slide-show for that.
The desk window had 2 small vent windows.. or maybe just one. Anyway, I changed that to a big slider with screen.

X2, Dick. It takes a certain kind of man (or woman) to take a chain saw to an RV.

Beautiful work! Classic picture of you taking the chainsaw to the wall - LOL!
I too am in awe of those like you that can do this kind of modification. It would either take me forever, or it would be forever ruined, one of the two...

Ozz,
Thanks.
A lot of planning (18 months worth) and having a innovative truck builder helps.
Here are some pics...and a video...
http://s962.photobucket.com/albums/a...t=HPIM2689.mp4
Basically we have the loader (Ameri-Deck from Hadley, PA) for the bikes, on the front side of the garage I have two full size Kennedy tool cabinets and above them using the Gladiator shelving/ hook system I house my various hand tools, etc.
On the back wall of the garage I have the Gladiator system as well where I hang the rachet straps and misc. items. I also installed a small dehumidifier that drains under the truck and is hooks up while the truck is parked to keep the box around 35% RH. Also have electric inside where I have the bikes hooked up to a trickle charger while parked.
I have to take more photos of the interior to show the upgrades.
Always thinking of ways to improve and add on to the garage.

x3 Dick. I have the skill, but not the nerve. I love the window in the bathroom though. Les, that is the most AWESOME bike garage. You should hire out and transport for OCC.

That is sweet! Great planning. I would have a welding and full shop in there. Great idea on the de-humidifier. Do you have a battery bank and Inverter?

That's coming....this spring I am installing a full blown solar system on the coach and will probably put a outlet so that I can connect the truck to the coach's solar system and inverter.
Right now we have the ole "Not for Hire" labels on Bigboomer but don't think the thought did not cross my mind!!!
Pic from the back....

Yes....that is a must....here is the proposed set-up
4-Evergreen ES-A-210-FA3 Panels
Morningstar Tristar MPPT 60
Magnum MS-2812
Midnite Solar E-Panel MNE-250-STM-L
Magnum ME-RC
Magnum BMK Monitor
4 - Lifeline GPL-6CT
Midnite Solar MNPV-6-250 Combiner or equal
AC Load Center
AC Sub Panel
I know there were some talk about the flexible panels but I see they have limited wattage which drastically reduces the charge capacities for the batteries.
WOW, not that your original thread has been totally hijacked!!!

Magnum discontinued the battery temperature sensor, but i would find out what replaced it and it's compatability. I have one on my system, think it a good addition to the gear.
