Never heard of Fields Oregon until I just "Googled" it. Supposedly the Fields cafe is known far and wide for their famous burgers and milkshakes..... Seems to be out in the middle of nowhere, though there are some things to do in the area.....

Grampachet,
Unfortunately we'll be on the coast otherwise we'd drop by and say hello. Enjoy your stay. One of these days we'll have to travel out that direction. Dennis and Mary Kay

I have hard about their milkshakes, remember when soda fountains would make the shake, fill up your tall glass than give you the stainless container they made the shake in so could refill your glass? I hear they still do that in Fields. A group of guys from our church have been taking a break and spending a few days in Fields over Labor Day for many years. Since i recently retired to Portland they invited me along. DW is pushing me to go too Do i need any other reason to go?

Oh yes there are some great hot springs there i am told.

Malheur Wildlife Refuge is there if you are interested in bird watching and the multiple hot springs that are there.
