breakers tripping

Has anyone had a problem with their breakers tripping? I believe it is stemming from our 12.5 amp electric heater we purchased to supplement our furnace. When we plug it into the outlet between the table & sofa (3400RL floorplan), we have to be VERY careful what we run, that outlet is connected to the kitchen breaker (15 amp). We have tripped the kitchen breaker several times. If we are using the portable heater & have the light on over the table you can see the light dim when the heater comes on. So we moved the heater to an outlet behind our chairs, in the rear, then when the fireplace heater kicked on we tripped the living room breaker (20 amp). Any input would be appreciated.

Your fireplace heater may also pull 12.5 to 15 amps. Added to the supplemental heater of 12.5 amps. you'll have a minimum of 25 amps.
If you have 30 amps and are watching tv with 2 heaters and lights and your 12v battery charging then you'll be at or over 30 amps.
Try putting the extra heater on a different circuit. 2 heaters on 1 breaker is overloaded.
I put one in the bedroom and one on the kitcher circuit.
Tripping breakers is not uncommon in the winter. 2 heaters pull way more amps than 1 A/C in the summer.

Wrapping up in a snuggly blanket in front of that fireplace requires no amps. Sounds like a Texas answer doesn't it.

You could add another circuit and plug-in for the heater.

Sounds like the breakers are doing exactly what they are designed to do. Like someone else said, you might want to add another circuit.

I rewired one of my rear receptacles in a way that I could run a 12 gage wire to the CG 110 volt outlet at the service plug-in. At the rear of the trailer I installed a 20amp receptacle with the lower plug-in wired to the trailer breaker and the upper plug-in with a wire long enough to reach the bottom of the trailers belly with a male plug-in where I run a cord to the CG service and plug it in. Doing this relieves the load on the rest of the circuits in the trailer refrig., water heater, other heaters.

We've run an extension cord through the slide seal to the campground pedestal and plugged directly into their 110 20 amp outlet.

Thank You everyone for your input. We have just been careful what we plug in where, although Stiles suggestion was very nice . We are home at our "bricks & sticks" for the holidays so our 5th is at the dealership right now for some of the issues that always come up with a new unit, they told us they would check the breakers to see if they are weak.

Dave, I had a similar problem with the GFCI outlet that ran the kitchen circuit not holding a load. I replaced the outlet and no more problems. Also I found the first living room outlet was on the kitchen circuit(we have the 3650rk). I run a portable ice maker, a computer, a printer and a small oil filled radiant heater from the kitchen circuit.

Add the extra Circuit. You will never regret it.
Of course you must have an extra external power source to be able to use it.
