OH, yea, Bill, FIND A REROUTE around Shreveport! That 20 nearly killed us and our backs and necks! UGHH. Love the 79 part, but that 20 sure is nasty at the end of a nice day!

We just drove across 20 today from the Al/MS stateline and I must say that the road is greatly improved....until you get about 35 miles east of Shreveport. Then it is the old concrete highway that made up most of the route that we dreaded so much. Carol, did you take the northern bypass around S'port? That gives you some immediate relief from the bumpy road.

No, Judy, we did not, it was late in the day, we had done a lot of miles, we still had 70 or more to go, we did not want to do ONE more than we had to, so we went straight through.

I will note that the bypass is better. Thanks for the info!
