Hot Water Heater not working on electric
Summerized the Monty on Wednesday and flicked on the switch on the water heater. Real hard to push but went to on. Did not kick on but the propane burner works. Switch clicks easier now but wondering if this happened to anyone. Thanks in advance.

yes, the switch does go bad and needs replaced. ours was actauly burned out due to some wiring defect, awire looked like it was pinched in installation

I shot a little WD40 in mine and it worked fine after that.

Had to replace mine. It is a weak link. That is the first place I would look. Got my replacement at Ace Hardware for about $5.00. expensive little bugger.
Remember to turn off power to water heaters and better yet unplug Monty when you pull that black switch out. A flat bladed screw driver should do the job.
Let us know what you find.

Is there a panel that needs to come off or do I need to pry off the plastic trim around the switch? Thanks.

Just take a small flat blade screwdriver to the side of it and it will pop out. shut off your 110v power to it. there are just two wires to pull off and replace. easy replacement, junk switch.
