South Main RV Park, Houston, TX

We will be going to Houston next week for my wife to receive cancer treatment and have been told about South Main RV Park.
We need to be close to the medical center and this is close.
Has anybody stayed at South Main RV Park?

I used www.maps.live.com and put in the address: 10100 S Main St Houston, TX to get a birds eye view. It looks like a fairly nice park. It is close to the 610 loop so traffic noise will be present. There is a 3 or 4 story building running parallel to the park that should buffer some of the noise. It is close to the Med Center.

There is also a brand new rv park called Advanced RV Park that is almost a straight line drive, 10 miles, to the MD Anderson Medical Center. We have driven by it a few times and it looks nice. There is a PRO Bass shop across the highway from it.

If you need me to, I can drive and check both of them out.

We are just down the street from South Main RV park at Lakeview RV Resort and have been here since the end of June. This park is great and also has a shuttle to the medical center. South Main park does have a lot of trees where Lakeview doesn't but do think the sites are a little larger at Lakeview. Also a great rec. center, laundry facilities, pool and excercise equip.

Lakeview appears to be further removed from the 610 loop and may be more quiet.
Kroencke may be able to say more about that.

Lakeview is about a mile from 610. We do get a little traffic noise from 90/Main. Also depends on what side of the park you are located.

Thanks guys, we are waiting on the medical center to call us back with an appointment date and we'll know more then. We're leaning towards Lakeview.
Thanks again.

Hugh,
Sounds good. I'll just tell Earlene we are headed to the Galleria and she'll be up early waiting to go.

I can't say much for the RV Parks as I have not been able to get out since we got here in Houston. We are assisting our daughter as she had surgery. Friday the 13th. All went well and had a terrific Doctor. He and his staff are GREAT. Hope to be heading out on Thursday to Atlanta. She and her husband will fly back Saturday. Recovery from this takes a while, so guess we will be ther thru Thanksgiving. MD Anderson is the best. Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to you. Have a Great Day
