Loose Ceiling Pannel Joint Molding

Montana 07 3400, What is the best method for reattaching some of the molding that covers the Ceiling seams? In some areas the nails are comming loose. Are the beams metal? I tried with a nail gun and was bending nails. Do I have to nail on one side of the molding and not in the center? I would like it to look cosmetically good after repair. If I use glue what type? and what is the best way to force the glue in between without removing the whole strip. Thanks in advance . Louis
