Frustrated-Bedroom Slide out not fully extending

And we brought it home today. Brand new 2018 3121RL. LR and Kitchen extend fine but the BR extends less than a foot and no further. No motor sound at all, but will retract. And we had it hooked to shore line and RV battery was on as well. I know it is new and we have to work the bugs out and learn everything that has been "modernized" since trading in our 2007 3485, but it is still frustrating. I will try reconnecting the truck power in the morning to see if that gives it the extra boost. Battery shows a full charge at the control center too.

BR slide

Just curious - do you have the in command touch screen to operate the slide or is it a rocker switch? I have the in command touch screen an for some reason keeping a finger on the touch screen buttons for the bedroom slide (IN and OUT) is more difficult than keeping a finger on the buttons for the living room hydraulic slides. It’s really weird. It’s actually easier to use my iPhone. Anyway, my point is that I have to stay focused on the bedroom slide and getting the right touch on the in command screen buttons. It will start - run a bit - then stop - until I adjust the position of my fingers - then start it again to finish...this happens for both IN and OUT.

It is the rocker switch. I will try readjusting finger position in the morning because it is exactly how you described it: start, run a bit then stop. Aggie '77....Norwich '75!

Rocker switch

Maybe somebody with rocker switch button will chime in with some better help.

Have you looked inside and out to see if something may be interfering with its travel?

I suggested the same thing on FB. Makes me think there is something under the false bottom under the bed that's stopping it.

Thanks Jeffba and Golfmedic, removed the false bottom in bed storage and did not see anything that would obstruct. I will march the unit back to CW for warranty work as slide adjustments only have a 90 day warranty. This explains on the walk thru when we first saw the camper the side liner was apart and screws all over the place with the explanation it was some "last minute adjustments". Sadly I think the check out crew knew there might be a problem but to make the sale they pushed it down the road to the service department to worry about. Like I said, very frustrating. Thanks again gents, appreciate it.

Oh and very important. Get a copy of pre-authorization report they submit to Keystone along with Keystone's response.

Probably the Schwintek system and might have gotten out of sequence. Video on You Tube on how to self correct. This will happen to them if you stop it during extend or retract.

Thanks all for the assist. WeBeFulltime and Jeffba advice to view the You Tube videos solved my problem: slide was out of synch and timing was off. I did the 3 reps as described in one of the videos and the bed room slide went right out. Next time I tried to extend the slide it started to act up again so I brought it all the way in and started again. What I was not told on the walk thru was to not stop in the middle of extending, but continue all the way until fully extended AND then continue depressing the switch for 3 seconds to keep it in synch. Hoping the problem is solved but will keep my fingers crossed each time I extend the bedroom slide out until more confident in its performance…..

Just looked up the Schwintek system. Top videos are how to troubleshoot. You should look at those WeBeFulltime pointed them out to me minutes ago.

We've have a 2019 version of the same model, and so far have not had a problem, but am following this thread. Please post what you find out.

You Tube is a great resource. They will probably have one to show you how to do open heart surgery soon.
