3820 FK Shower Hepvo Valve

So I got overly aggressive snaking my shower drain. Got a nice ball of the usual stuff out but noooo I couldn't be satisfied and went a little further with my zip tool. Yep, pulled that Hepvo valve membrane out. Or at least most of it. At first I was "What the $&@*#% is this? And why is it in my drain?" Then I searched the site and found the error of my ways. From my readings I am not the first one to do this. So my only consolation is that I am in good company and learning has occurred. Took my hose and wrapped a towel around it to seal the drain and jettted water down the drain to reverse what was left of the membrane. It appears to be draining fine now. So hears my questions:
1. Is my only problem now going to be sewer gases back into the coach? And the tank could back up into the shower?

I would like to wait till fall when we are parked to swap out the valve because I have to access it from the bottom by cutting through the coroplast. Unless someone knows different?

2. Should I cut the coroplast all the way across the bottom creating a flap from ODS to DS or would it be better to cut a smaller access? Leaning towards a complete ODS to DS flap and then putting a treated 1x2 or aluminum strip or ??? over the seam.
Another lesson learned! Thanks Joe

On our rig, you can access the valve by removing the plastic barrier behind the convenience center and maybe one section of the basement wall. You will not be able to get to it from under the rig, because the drain is above the tanks. I guess, as you have found out, there should be no reason to run a snake into any of the plumbing in these rigs, because you risk damage to the plumbing and also can damage a tank if you go that far with the snake. The only thing I do occasionally is use a small bottle brush to clean the Hepvo valve, which is attached to the drain fitting in the floor of the shower. We also have one under one of the bath sinks, and when that gets plugged, it has to be removed to clean it.
