Tire Monitoring System
After 4 tire blow-outs in 6 months, our kids want to get Jack a tire monitoring system for Christmas and asked me which one is the best. So of course I am asking the experts - what say ye?

Many of us have a TST 507RV system and very happy with them.

Agree with BB TX 507RV by TST with booster. They won't stop the blowouts, but if a tire is loosing air it will warn you and perhaps you can resolve the problem before the tire blows. It will tell you immediately when one has blown which some have not noticed right a way.

Had the pressure pro and it was a good system, but switched to the TST 507 system because you can add or subtract air without removing the sensor and the batteries are such that you can replace them and don't have to send them back to the factory.

TST 507 here as well. As a matter of fact, I chose this system based on the answers I got on this site when I posted the same question. Simple to set up, with all the advantages that DQDick mentioned.

Another vote for TST 507 system. Just recently installed after reading posts from this forum we are very satisfied and have piece of mind with the TST 507 System.

Pressure Pro here. Been running since 2006 on same batteries. It is a good system, however, when the batteries go I think I will replace with the TST 507 system, instead of replace the sensors as they do not have replaceable batteries.

You can buy a lot of batteries for the price of that system. You've got a good system, why change? What will you do with it once you remove it? You won't be able to give it away without good batteries.

You can buy a lot of batteries for the price of that system. You've got a good system, why change? What will you do with it once you remove it? You won't be able to give it away without good batteries.

Batteries are non user replaceable on the Pressure Pro. You have to replace the complete sensor. They do offer a discount when you do have to replace though. I believe it is half price compared to the cost of a new one. Not real sure as it has been some time since I last checked. Even at half price it would cost me about half of what the 507 would cost. I have 8 sensors that all are the same age....so do I go to user replaceable 507 system or just stick with the pressure pro and replace the sensors. Questions that I will ponder when the time comes.

Since the competition came out with a replaceable battery unit, not to mention the flow through capability), I would not be surprised to see Pressure Pro do the same.

I had my TST system for five years and the batteries started going. Instead of replacing the sensors, I bought the new TST system with flow through sensors and also user replaceable batteries. I know many had the pressure pro and liked them. I haven't heard anything bad about either system, but today, IMHO, if you are buying a new system the TST is better technology. I agree that pressure pro will be forced to add the new features but they don't have it today.

TST 507 here to. Haven't used a PP to compare but I'm very satisfied with the TST and recommend it to my friends.

TST 507 came through for us twice so far and helped prevent tire/trailer damage. For us no booster was needed. I remove them in the winter time while in storage to save the batteries on the transmitters.

I went with the TST 507RV. You have to remove the sender to add air, but that is not a issue. I did add a repeater, only because I double tow and the second trailer would drop out at times.
If you have had 4 blow outs, you need to replace tires or determine why they are blowing. Sensors are not the fix. New tires are.
