We've Started It!

It's been quite a while since we've been on the forum. We've been talking about our retirement for several years now and making plans. Well, we are still on for retirement at the end of March '07 (175 days, but who's counting?), but we decided to sell our townhome in San Pedro last week before prices dropped more, and it's already in escrow. We have to be out by 8 Nov 06. So we'll be full-timing in our 2980RL as of that date. We'll still have 5 months of work to go, but we were lucky enough to get a monthly space in a nice RV park in Long Beach, CA (near the Queen Mary) that's only 15 minutes from were we work (together). This is our commitment to leaving Southern California and relocating in Prescott, AZ. We won't ever be able to go back, but the new place in Prescott will have an oversize garage (to fit truck), a workshop, exercise room (for Shari) AND an 18x45 RV garage for our prized possession! AND a 10 minute drive to get out of town and on the road! Life is GOOD!

Enjoy, I'm sure you earned it! I wish I was down to counting days, I'm still clicking off years.

Congratulation Bill and Shari. We aren't going to be far behind you. House goes up for sale in March and I hope we didn't wait too long. We have one good thing going for us with this house - RV parking. We think that will make the sale. Prescott is on our list of "got to go there" so maybe we will see you around.
Happy trails.....................

Congrats on the sale of your house. Sounds like you have a great exit paln. We've had our home on the market for several months now. A couple of potential buyers, but nothing concrete. Hopefully, we can join you soon. Best wishes on your new adventures.
