Vinyl is NOT final

Don't believe all the advertising about siding your house with vinyl as vinyl is not final. We had high winds and BIG hail here in Wichita yesterday. Dozens and dozens of houses up on the north east side that had vinyl siding looked like a guy had loaded up a cannon with marbles and golf balls and blasted away ... The siding was literally shattered and laying on the ground like broken glass. Hail broke through double paned windows screen and all and was laying on the carpets inside the houses.

Saw the pictures of the wall clouds and several of the tornados. Pretty scary! Glad you guys are ok. We had that hail and vinyl siding issue a number of years ago at the stick house. It made the decision for us to add a room. No windows or siding left on that end of the house. Kansas not only produces some really large hail, but usually puts high winds behind it also.

Prestained Hardy Plank!! Great siding option. One of the better decisions we have made.
