Bedspread
Has anybody tried to wash the bedspread that comes with the Montana? It says to dry clean which is so impractical in a camper. I'm tempted.

Sue has thought about it but knowing how it goes we will open the washer and find a shredded piece of fabric!
Sue has though about using Dryel which she has used on many other items and works great.

I washed mine on gentle cycle and it came out fine. It pills a little. I finally changed it for a quilt and Goose down comforter. Let us know how it works out for you.

Joyce took one look at the washing instructions and the color and sold it at a garage sale and went with a new one. More flexible washing and more pleasing, to her, color scheme.

I just want one that doesn't end up on the floor in the middle of the night when I'm the coldest!

Ain't that the truth! and the kicker is our cat, Tabby, is usually curled up in the pile on the floor nice and warm!

Everyone in the rig can be uncomfortable, but the cats always find a way. Makes you wonder who the dumb animals really are.

We don't worry about it on the floor every night because we fold it, roll it up and stow it. Then every morning we put it back on the bed after fixing the sheets and blankets because it makes things look nice and neat. We don't consider it very comfortable and with its stiffness it would move around too much (and probably end up on the floor ). Good thing we don't full time.
I suppose if we had to clean it we'd dry clean once and then we'd end up tossing it and getting something easier to clean.

I put it away on day one. Never used it. Bought some washable blankets. It looked looked to be made for show. Dry cleaning is expensive and inconvenient.

Thanks everybody! I'm going try washing not much to lose. Hi Betsy -- What do you mean by duct taping. Hope you both are OK.
