We leave in the moanin'

We are finally leaving for Florida in the morning! Temps in the mid teens and snow returning make it a no brainer, now that the holidays are over. The rig is loaded and the truck has been repaired (hopefully). The first day will be the only long one, from Michigan to Berea, KY, to escape the snow. Then 2-4 hour days with stops of 1-5 nights along the way. We will be in Wildwood for two weeks, Clermont for a couple of weeks, Punta Gorda for a while, visiting friends in Naples and Fort Meyers while there, and then unknown where. Sunshine is entirely confused as we have been packing the Monty and truck all day. She, as well as we, will settle down once we hit the road. HERE WE COME, FLORIDA!!!

Have a GREAT trip Jim and Carol. Hope you get to warmer weather soon. It has been below freezing here at night for the last couple of days. Have to remember to fill the onboard tank and bring in the hose each night, then make sure the furnace will come on at night to keep pipes happy. Next morning when temp rises, put the hose out again and turn furnace off and turn elec heaters on. Still don't know which is cheaper, propane or electric. Doesn't matter, just want to stay warm.....

Villa has met many new friends here. They have 4 dog parks in the park and she has friends in each one. She is especially friendly to a 14 month old German Shorthair Pointer that is absolutely beautiful and very friendly.

Anyway, have a great trip. If you ever get this far west drop us a line and we can do lunch.....

Phil

Have a great trip. We know you feel bad about leaving all that pretty white snow,
but try to enjoy Florida anyway.

Thanks, folks. We made it to Berea, KY yesterday. The CG is not quite over a bad ice storm from a week or so ago so there are many thin ice covered puddles throughout. Sunshine is not a happy camper because of the long ride and then breaking through the ice and getting her feet into the cold water. We found evidence that we had some unpaid tennents during storage (mice) but at least today we take a shorter drive and head for Sweetwater, TN where it should be a little warmer during the day.

Carol & Jim, you should have made a swing thru North Ridgeville and evicted those unpaid tenants so Rich and Helen could give them a home come spring.
Have a safe trip and get the weather warmer down there, we might make it in a few weeks if we can work out some final details.

Dave, we will be coming through there mid to late March. Hope to see you then.
Michelle, it was sunny and mid 50s here in Sweetwater, TN today, which is a good sign, but the Alberta Clipper is heading south and the rain is heading north. News said that they will collide over mid Tenessee late tonight or early tomorrow. We should beat the snow out of here so COD (come on down)

Thanks, Steve. We are now at Spirit of Suwanee Music Campground in Live Oak, FL, enjoying the pickin' and people. We move on to Wildwood, FL Tuesday for a couple of weeks.
