TV bed toolbox???
Do you use at toolbox in the bed of your truck? If so do you use a low-profile type, regular crossover type with 5" to 6" above the bed, or a chest type flush with the bed rails? What brand are you using and is it water tight?
I have a 8' long bed, and I am looking at an in bed toolbox that I can secure our two Honda E2000i generators in (when not in use).

Yes I have a chest type and it works great for the generators and the fuel cans. I got mine from Tractor Supply company, there located all over the place. It is aluminum diamond plate and waterright. It is light enough that it is easy to remove.

I have a chest type that was even with the bed rails on the 2004 GMC, but is a couple inches below the rails on the 09 Chevy. But, if I was going to store generators in it, I wouldn't look at anything other than Weather Guard...they are very secure.

I have a chest type that is even with the rails made by K&W. It stays totally dry inside. I put two Honda generators in it and have plenty of room left over for other items. I don't keep fuel in it. Gas cans fit perfectly in the spaces on the sides of the chest.

I have a chest type that fits into the bed of the truck. As during non rving month I have a shell that goes on the bed. I bought mine a Home Depot. Not leaks, should be big enough for those genny's. If you do install one make sure to seal around the holes drill through the boottom for mounting.

Bob, mine also is from Tractor Supply and originally was white (now black). It is steel. It was new in about 1999 and has been mounted four trucks now. I am not positive but believe it was originally watertight but I think the seals probably have deteriorated to the point where a driving rain might allow some water ingress, but not a substantial amount. I can't tell you the brand as it's been painted over.
Mine is a below the bedrails because our truck is a shortbed and an over the rail box would just be trouble for us. These pictures were taken for a different purpose but maybe they will show what I'm trying to describe. It uses a key lock, by the way, with those rods (drawing a blank on their name) to hold the lid open.

Mine is homemade and serves the purpose well!
When traveling the Fold-A-Cover is folded over top of the box keeping it out of the environment and out of sight.

Ours is a low-profile box from Highway Products. We store our Honda 2000i in it also.

Karl, sorry I called you Bob before. I was thinking Firetrucker. I just masked it and sprayed it with standard spray paint cans, in flat black. Out of the truck, of course. The shine in those pictures is from rain.

I had mine custom made at Alumi-Line http://www.alum-line.com/boxes/top-l...-rv-boxes.html .... Go here and look at choices or image gallery....I got two boxes, the one that is even with the side rails next to the cab. Then I had a shorter one made for the back tailgate area. I put my power cords and tools in it. I had mine made with a flat lid instead of the design that they show in their picture. Handles open from either side and lock on drivers side..JB

I have a rail high box from Tractor Supply that works great for my needs. It is extra wide and I can put in both the 2000 Honda's, 5 gal gas can, box for wood blocks and still have room for more stuff. I did add three small vents on the backside of the box to vent out gas fumes.
