Yuma, AZ
Arrived at Country Roads Resort this afternoon. Whoa! Are we impressed. We are in site 286, right across from the club house. We are in Yuma to check out parks that we may want to winter over in this next year. Anyone have any suggestions, let's have em. I know we went thru this before but we were just passing thru then. One of our main concerns is Pickleball, they must have an active program. We are planning on a Wednesday departure to Casa Grande to do the same thing there. Come by if you have time, maybe a mini-MOC rally.

Palm Creek in Casa Grande has pickle ball fanatics. You'll love it, plus the park is really nice, but pricey. My aunt and uncle have a park model there.

Pam, we are staying at Palm Creek (CG)for a week this next week (all I could afford). Hope to get my fill of pickleball then.
Bigmurf, We tried to get into The Palms RV Resort today to take a look, couldn't get past the guard at the gate. He told me to come back tomorrow when there is office staff there to give us a tour.
Birdie, We were there Sat AM, didn't know you were there, will try again this week......

The Del Pueblo is my choice. I stayed there last year for a couple of months. They have stained glass classes, water aerobics, and a couple of great dog runs. Plus, you can get your own mailbox and key. Just watch the club house for the flag to fly that indicates the mail is up. We really enjoyed this park.

Palm Creek is one of our favorite parks. They sure have a lot of activities for you. During softball games they cook hamburgers at lunch time and they are great. Lot of Pickle ball courts, and tennis courts. They also have a great wood shop, cheap golf on a nice short course.

Make mine medium Doug. I think we have decided to bypass Casa Grande in lieu of going direct to Phoenix where my son is. We will be at Monte Vista Resort in Mesa for the next month and will be doing day trips to Casa Grande to check the parks out there. We got a better monthly rate at Monte Vista as compared to a week at Palm Creek, then three weeks in Phoenix. Don't want to be in Phoenix much longer due to heat. Then it's back to San Diego to visit other son for about three weeks, then up to Yosemite for a couple of weeks, then up north to beat the heat.........
Lasater: Del Pueblo would be an excellent choice. Seems to be more RVers there, where as Country Roads is more park models with RV's filling the empty spaces. We stopped at Del Pueblo and they only had 10 sites left for the 2010-11 season. We will have to evaluate several parks to make up our minds. Thanks for the input.
