The good news is it will be back to the normal 70 or so next week and it will only be colder and more snow in Northern Ohio.

At the moment the only 70+ weather I can find is in Cancun. That being the high and lows below 60, ain't global warming fun?

That foam stuff did not work on my neighbor's hose, it was froze 2 nights ago. Last night he took the hose in, I have no idea if he put water in the fresh water holding tank, in the 13 years he has had a rig (or more??), he has never put water in his fresh water tank.

We unhook the water each night, drain the hose, turn on pump, pump water out of full fresh water tank. Not a huge issue here.

We are running 2 electric heaters pretty much full time, and the furnace to keep the basement from freezing.

I have on warm clothes, thermies still my constant companion, sighh. I have only had like 3 or 4 days (partial days between 1 and 4ish) that I have been sans thermies. I have on multiple layers, socks and warm fuzzy lined shoes. Al is not quite so bundled up. For me being cold and hurting from same is a side effect of diabetes. BLECHH

But, hey, read that sig line, day in Tana, etc., etc., etc.

And, I currently have a kick a$$ view out my desk window. WAHHHOOOOO

As they say, life is good, my tooth got fixed, Al's ankle is getting better every day, we have food, electric, propane, and water. Got Tana, got internet, got toys, yorks are doing pretty good, even Mr. G's renal failure is doing well with the meds and food

Life is good, as they say.

But, I won't turn down another 20 or 30 or 40 degrees on the thermometer, make that PLUS 20, 30 or 40!

Dave if you are looking for temp go to weather.com and bring up Cairns and Ayers Rock, Australia. That will give you warm thoughts anyway! We be there in five and eight days! Later Mate!!

Here in Mississippi it never really gets cold enough to winterize but we expect 12 degrees on Friday night and 10 on Saturday night. Suppose to be below freezing for 60 to 72 hours straight. I usually go camping in the winter in state. This weekend appears to be a good time to stay home. Stay warm guys.

Keep warm all of you in cold areas. We here in NC are also having unusually cold weather. We normally have a few days but nothing like the consective cold days we have been having. Anything from 17 to high 20s at night. It will remain cold here at least through this weekend.

Rich, here in south TX, it's the coldest we've seen it in 10 winters. Suppose to have a high of 37 on Friday and chill factors around 20 in the morning. The propane companies just love us.

Yup TrailerTrash2. Between you and Helmick, I can smell the tar heating up. Don't know where they'll get the feathers, but I'm sure they'll shoot down a few migrating bird to get 'em.

Oh wait, shall I mention that at 7:00pm right now in Southern California where I live, the temp is 62 and expected to get as low as 40 (brrrrrr)? Our local news keeps warning us that the BCS championship game at the Rose Bowl this year between Texas and Alabama has caused a HUGE influx of tourists earlier than normal and they're having a record on how long they are staying. I can't imagine why, but they'll go back when they price the rent.

Gotta go now, my ice cream is melting fast.

Well it was 21 in Ocala, another record set, but we've been very comfortable. Set the temp at 62 and the rig has been pretty even temperature, probably a little warmer in the bedroom as the heat tends to rise. Had to keep the day/night shades pulled all the way down, I could feel air coming in from the water weep holes in the windows. Sitting in the slides there is a slight noticeable temp difference. I had the electric heater set at 60 and positioned it by the kitchen area - it never fired-up. We do use a blanket when inactive and watching TV. Everybody has been using a lot of propane.

It is 34 degrees at 8AM here in sunny Florida. Just went out and hooked up the outside water hoses. Record low again last night. This is a disaster here in this part of Florida. TV is asking for donations of coats, gloves ,hats so kids can go to school.Boilers and furnaces not accustomed to working this hard breaking down. Older car batteries that work fine at 50 degrees die at 27 degrees. It is just another day for us but this area can not deal with it.
Actually execpt for using huge amounts of propane we are good. Hope the C.G does not run out. The slides and floor are a bit colder but floor heaters help. We keep the day/night shades down and that helps.

For the last couple of days we have had "abudant" sun, as the forecasters call it. We have had the night shades up, using Mother Nature's heat to augment Tana's propane and electric heat.

However, the rain (sleet???) is a coming. But, the night shades will still be up to starve off the claustophobia.

Last night was warm around here, no wind, furnace hardly ran! WAHHOOO

Our slides are well insulated. So no heat loss there. We do have a warm trailer! Lots of insulation and trailer is very heavy.
Have had this trailer in 16 degree weather and stayed warm. Left AZ too early last year! Never again. Not leaving until mid April and still can get into a snow storm in the west.

It is cool here in AZ but not as bad as Florida. Last night was in low 40s. Some nights get into the 30s but days are warm in 70s.
I am sitting here at my computer in a slide out, barefoot in pajamas.
Dogs have to wear their sweaters outside in morning and evening.

Carol, sorry your neighbors hose froze up. That foam stuff has worked for us in 16 degree weather. The water hook up in the ground was heated by the park, so it didn't freeze there. This was Colorado last spring, a freak spring snow storm, while stopping there.

So sorry for the cold weather in Florida. It is no fun being cold.

We owned a Wildcat 5th wheel several years ago and froze in that thing. No winter package in there.

Dusty,

I did not feel TOOOOO sorry for that neighbor, I had expressed to him the evening before that maybe he should not use the hose. He chose to use the hose. Since he has never had water in his fresh water tank??????

He then asked me how we kept the water pipes IN the unit from freezing in this weather and told me his new unit had this really unique stuff, a solid sheet of it, totally enclosing his underbelly.

He is a nice guy.
