My '01 Dodge came with Michelin 265's. I currently have 45,000 miles on them and they look less than 1/2 worn. They are very good tires, it appears to me. Maybe when it's time to trade tires, I may trade trucks. If I do trade tires, it will be with like tires. My previous Dodge came with Goodyear RTS tires. I had 50,000 on the origional tires when I got new ones. I think the Michelins will surpass that and go close to 70,000 miles based on wear so far.

I had Coopers originally. they were only D rated but lasted well. i took them off my truck and put them on the wifes truck. she doesnt haul a load so they will be fine. they are still lasting well.
i replaced the Coopers with the Dunlop rover RVXT these were E rated.
i wouldnt take a FREE set of these. They were terrible for wear. Like NJ Hillbilly said, they wear just sitting in the driveway.
i only had 12,000 miles on them and had to repalce the two rear tires.
the other two are wearing bad aslo, but i could only get two tires at the time so i replaced the worse two.
i put on Michelin LTX M/S 265/75/16 e rated and they are lasting well. (so far)
i picked them up used for 65.00 each, mounted.
they look like brand new. i was told they run about 165.00 each new.
if they last well i will get two more put on.
they seem like a very good tire. snow traction is good.

Glad to hear that Discount will match prices. I would rather deal with them than a box store.

Tires info - check out www.tirerack.com/index.jsp website. My truck had Firestone which wore great but traction on wet roads was bad. I used this site to make comparrison on test ratings for traction, wear and handling. I replace my tires with Bridgestone REVO Desert Duellers. Got 35,000 on them and would guess I could get 25,000 more on them - they handle and ride very good. Good-Luck!
