Washing the rig
I just washed the rig and I think I shorted out the norcold recall module. Does anyone close off the refrig vents when washing.

Did you use a power washer? Or a spray nozzle that shoots a hard stream of water?
I just use a brush attachment on the end of a hose and don't seem to have any problem getting water in the various openings.

Used a garden hose. I guess from now on I will block the openings off.

I use a garden hose spray nozzle to wet the sides, then I hand wash mine with a mitt and soap bucket ... then sorta let the water cascade down from the roofline for the rinse. I've never had to seal off anything in a bunch of years of washing. I naturally try not to spray water up into the louvers on the underside of the fridge vents.

Same here. Spray with a hose nozzle first then wash then rinse with the hose nozzle. Haven't had a problem so far.

No help here, the very, very few times that I have cleaned the exterior of the rig was a simple wipedown with a wet rag, followed by a wipedown with a dry microfiber. I really like that high gloss finish, makes cleaning a breeze. End caps are a little more difficult, but still done in the same manner.

I was talking with our neighbors yesterday here in Yuma and they had there trailer washed the other day, and after washing they had a refer issue. They call out a repair man and he said that it should not be pressure washed around the refer location getting water into the cover. They told me that the tech used a magnet to reset someting that they are not sure of, and all works well again. He also explained that is happens alot that there's was the 3rd one that week.......

I use Croftgate products and can wash the entire rig with a bucket of water. Works great.

Go to croftgateusa.com for a list of their products. I use wash & wax, one capful to a gallon of water, Quick & Slick afterwards and bugs won't stick to the front cap. I also use tire shine. Besides tires, all the black plastic surfaces on the truck.

Went to Lazydays (Seffner) this morning. They reset the recall module. They also checked out the whole system and all checked out OK. Best part was No Charge. Pinch me quick i must be sleeping. From now on when I wash the rig I will turn off the frig and put duct tape over the refer vents.
