plumbing vent
greetings ! as i finalize all the major remods getting ready to head south, i discovered a cracked/busted roof vent cover, and i cant find a replacement ! help me out if u can....its my kitchen sink vent, and the cover screws onto a center bolt...easier to screw a new one one than pull up the whole thing. also its a bit larger than most of the caps ive seen, and its shaped like a flat disc, not a cup. thanks for any help !

X3 on the attic vent. Keystone mostly uses under the sink venting solutions for the kitchen.

Was up on the roof today installing a a sat dish and found my attic vents needing replacement also due to UV rays. Just don't know where on my todo list it should go. Oh well.

Well when we got our new fiver this summer I decided to paint the vents white. Used Krylon for plastic. This is a test only but the UV just tear them up so bad. If it works great, if not then I guess I don't have to do it again.

ok, that doesnt look like it exactly...but maybe alright. does it have a threaded hole in the center to screw it on, like maybe 5/16th ? i guess i just assumed it was a sink vent. trying to get all these mods done so we can git soon....then these little things pop up.

Yes, there is a threaded rod that the cap itself attaches to. The item shown is the whole assembly, including the base. All I did was to place the cap on our vent, since it was the piece that disappeared. Here is the assembly without the cap:

With the nonstandard attic vents, I have always sprayed with white plastic paint (rustoleum) once a year, and have never had to replace since doing that.

I got two new attic vent covers from my dealer in June. Camping World did not have them. You buy the whole thing, but I just put the cover part on. I will have to remember about the paint come spring unless we get some more summer temps. in Dec. like we had Sunday and Monday. Thanks for the painting tip.

Bill, since they just thread on, I would suggest a little RTV/Silicone Sealant on the threads. We found the front one missing on our Montana and must assume it just vibrated loose and flew away.
