Dining Table Flexibilty

Maybe I missed something in the new trailer briefing over a year ago, but I just discovered that there are two metal levers underneath the dining room table which, when released, allow the table to slide from "side to side' , thus making it easier to get in and out of the chairs. I happened to be looking for something on my back on the floor and noticed the levers for the first time. Maybe everyone knows about this but me, but I think it will make seating much easier in the future!

The two levers actually not only allow you to slide the table , but rotate the table to gain space. We rotat ours and slide it toward the window for travel. Our instructor at our class reccommended it. Larry

It's amazing what you can learn lying on your back.

Mountaineers do not swivel. Only slide. Another. difference between Montana and Mountaineers.

We like our sliding feature, and for you now it's a bonus!

My 2006 Monty has this and it was shown to us during our PDI. This was probably not shown to you. I was so pleased with it, that's why I remembered.

My Monty does not have the ability to rotate the table to gain more room when the slides are in nor was it offered as an option. There were several Monty owners who "installed" this mod themselves and posted their handiwork for their tables and I'm guessing Keystone has now got smart and incorporated it (as did other manufacturers).

A forum is wonderful way for getting features for adding to rigs! There are lots of clever people out there. However, good luck at getting patents and compensation. I do appreciate their generosity at sharing their ideas!

Our table doesn’t swivel; it slides from side to side with a leaf on the end.

The DW was headed out to the shop to check if the Monty table did swivel, but thankfully Nosticks came along and posted the Mountaineer perspective. You know I think this is deja vu all over again as it seems I once learned maybe in a similar thread.

Do you recall the post about making the Mountaineer table swivel? I have a Mountaineer and table only slides and would love to make it swivel as my table is tight against the island with slide in.
