For those who have met Ron French will recall he is a very bright person and very involved. I also saw him as a "people person" Will bet we will see other Keystone/ Montana folks going up the ladder.

my wife and i were at the greensboro nc rv show yesterday and had asked a man, who is a salesman for a regional dealer that used to carry montana for a number of years and now apparantly do not, answered in response to our query 'how come?', that montana is just not what it used to be and that the 'two guys who started the montana brand jumped ship from the thor/keystone group and are in process of starting up a seperate brand????'.....any thoughts/comments on the issue from those of y'all who know way more about these things than we do??....
by the by.....in searching for the thor name to find out anything about this i came upon a thread by some folks who had bought the same year and model as ours (02 2955rl) and were wondering if folks kept their campers much more than a few years.........just a note to say we still have our original unit and use it during the winter as we are flower growers and don't have the luxury of long distance camping during flower season, tho we do escape to a local state park for quickie weekends about once amonth during the peak season to TRY to keep our sanity.....
so..back to the original thought........are we still looking for montanas when and IF we ever do decide to move in to a newer unit??......the new cardinals looked pretty good...along with a few others........in this economy, as others have indicated in other threads, a LOT of shaking and baking is going to be going on in terms of companies going up and down........as always we will keep our noses in the industry and our feet going up and down entry steps at the frequent shows to see who is around doing what needs to be done when the dust settles......and trust and believe...from someone who sells a luxury item...(cut flowers to florists).......it IS going to turn around when that pendulum swings back.....and we just work towards being around with our flowers when it does.......and will be looking to see which rv manufacturer is doing the same thing we are.........minding the quality and price of our product.....be well all....we made the right decision with our 'anna' montana.....and know y'all did too.....gary

Consider the source, my apologies to any salesmen types out there, but salemen have been known to say any thing, especially if they think it is what you want to hear.
I have sooooo many stories about salesmen and their pitch, some pathetic, some funny!
