Am I Stupid or What?

Louise and I are both retired so what am I doing here with 8" of snow? Not only did I spend the better part of the morning blowing and shoveling, I also spent time clearing paths through the yard so our two border collies wouldn't get to cold when they squated to do their thing. So I ask, am I stupid or what?

Just picture us sitting here in Yuma,AZ in our shorts. It is 70 degrees, we are drinking margaritas and the breeze is a little chilly so we had to move inside.

I would not say that word stupid at all.
I see a man that loves to keep fit, doing hard work shoveling snow so his two dogs have a place to run or play in the snow.
I'm tired just typing about it, I guess I'll put on some shorts tomorrow and sit in the 80 degree temperature, then head to the big Q on Thursday the 14th. I hope there is no snow there
Have a wonderful weekend you two.

We spent 2 weeks in that stuff over the holidays and you can keep it. Ah the desert, we are headed in that direction in a couple of hours.

I could never call some one who enjoys snow, stupid.

But if I were sitting there, it would be stupid of me since I'm retired also.

I think you may need to do a "agonizing reappraisal" of your lifestyle.

Thank you for all of the sympathetic advice. On top of it we got caught in some of that really nice weather across Iowa and Nebraska during the holidays. We didn't want our son and his family driving here from Denver for the New Years so we went there(w/o Monty). FYI it is a smokin 7 degrees right now and I just finished loading the car with baby shower stuff. The bright side is that we are going to be great grandparents in February. Maybe I could start her young learning about the shovel????

Nothing better than being a GREAT GRANDPARENT. We just watched our 15 month old GREAT GRANDSON for four days.
It was great, took 5 days of rest after he went home.

I feel grand but not great yet. We have to wait a few years.
