Welcome to the MOC Family

First thing to do is check the water in your battery. If the cells are too low you won't get sufficient amperage to operate the slide.

I have a similar problem with my 2980RL. While extending or retracting the slides they will stop at least 2 times and have to wait for the circuit breaker to reset before I can finally get it full extended or retracted.

The trailer is level and the rack and pinion gears are clean and lubed.

Any thought on this problem? Not as bad as your problem as I can finally get mine in and out.

onecardshort: The fuse in the front compartment is a self resetting type. I suspect the cause is an electrical connection.

rldriver: The problem of the slide stopping has been discussed in the past. The self resetting circuit breaker is usually at fault. I am on my second one (the first lasted less than one year). Try this link for a more complete discussion (pay attention to what MIMF2 says)

Went thru all connections, retightened, rechecked, made fatal mistake of just looking at fuse and not metering. Well I guess we are never too old to learn. Thanks for all the great advise, the folks on this site are GREAT.
