Bed slide leek
Our 2012, 3400RL bed slide leeks water. Water runs down the side of slide & enters in the corner & on carpet. Dealer added two four inch gutters on the lower side of slides. Is this a good fix? It rained the other day & the carpet was damp. Checked the small gutters & the putty used, filled the top of the small gutters. Careless installation for the fix?
I looked on the Monty forums & haven't seen any other postes with this problem.

We had the same problem, and dealer tried to fix, also.
Then we discovered that the trim piece on the outside of the slide
was where the water was coming from. It was the bottom piece on the face of the slide. Ours had been sealed at one time but had separated. We put some silicone sealer on the gap and have not a leek since. Ken and Julie

We also had a leak in our bedroom slide. I noticed that the pedestal and floor by the bedroom closet (large closet) was wet. We went to the factory last year and they caulked and sealed the slide. So far no more leaks.
I would think that the top would need to be sealed and caulked, I believe that Keystone sealed ours on the top too.
No consolation for you, but you are not alone..[

I would double check correct alignment of the slide and proper installation of the seals. Montana has a pretty good design copied by others, and addition of gutters does not make sense to me.

My friend "Sheepdog" showed me his and I followed suit, caulked the wide mldg along bottom of slide. Mine was obviously separating and he prevented me from having the problem he had. Larry

I have just found this leaking slide issue, and it leaks on to the carpet between bed and closet. Please give more detail on how and where to caulk. Thanks.

We had the same problem with our '07 3400 RL. We took it to the dealer and they adjusted something. Didn't work. We found that if we checked the rubber gaskets and rubber flanges when the slide went out, we did not have anymore leaks. The rubber flange on the closet side seemed to stick toward the bottom and created a funnel for the running water to leak into the bedroom floor. We now have a '11 3625 and still check the gaskets. Hope this helps.

We had a leak on our previous Montana (2001 3295RK). It was due to the trim being short and water leaking inside of the trim. It got the floor wet right at the bottom of the slide in the corner. I pulled the trim back and sealed underneath it and it stopped the leak. What your dealer done might be a fix. My suggestion is to watch it and continue to look to see if it leaks anymore.
