antenna booster?

Howdy folks, I am just getting ready to take our 2019 3120 in for our first batch of warranty work. I was getting the antenna into travel position and reading through the manual to determine exactly what that position is and the manual said to turn off the booster. I had not found the booster yet, so I poked around a little and found it behind the bedroom tv. It was on, but nothing was plugged into the cable outlet on the switch plate.

I really didn't have time to remove the switch plate to see if there was a cable connected to the back or not, so how is the booster wired in to the coach?

Best regards,
D

There are cables connected to the back side. If you google RV tv booster diagram you will find multiple diagrams showing those connections. That front connector may or may not be used.

Your bedroom tv is probably connected to the back side.

From inside the wall. It is wired as you said it was on ie the light. There should be a coax outlet on the booster facing, cable runs from that to your tv.

The booster is really not a booster at all ... all the switch is doing is supplying 12 volts power up to the OTA which is a powered gain antenna that requires 12 volts to work.

Dennis-- Remember one thing--The "booster" must be off if you intend to hook up to cable at a campground or hook up a satellite to the unit.

you can leave the booster on, no problem, for non sat/cable tv. just don't leave it on when you store the trailer. disconnect your batteries then.
