Dumb question. I have the 3811 with hydraulic landing gear and slides. Do I really need an 80 amp breaker and how will it help? Haven't blown any fuses yet. Please and thanks.

You don’t yet. You will need to replace it once you notice the hydraulics causing the breaker to trip. For me it took almost two years.

Itís truly a 15 minute job start to finish.

And a step drill bit, if you have one, makes it even easier and cleaner than a standard twist drill bit.

Wow. Wish ithis thread was around about 2 years ago. I was new to this while hydraulic leveling think and i had CONSTANT problems with the breaker resetting. I donít know what it was and Camping World was worse than clueless. FINALLY another camper mentioned this to me, which I mentioned to camping world, and they finally upgraded it. Not a problem aeince then.

And it was....
Here is a just a sample of the 100's of topics on this subject. You would think that after 15+ years that Montana could have fixed the problem.

Where does the the pump mtg label 80 is ok? Mine went bad so I jumpered it AFTER some 'mobile mech' grossly changed parts to 'fix issue. Two days later & several hundred miles away it didn't work. Did my own 12v troubleshooting to discover a bad 50a fuse. Jumpered wires across & worked great. Bought new one @ NAPA to replace it. Never had another issue over past year.

I would have to think most MFG’s put in a 50amp fuse and other Brands have this issue. Our 2018 Montana is our first with Hydraulic Leveling so never head about this but glad I read it by my slides are Hydro as well, would be ugly to get somewhere and not be able to use the RV, so thanks for all that had input into this thread
