RV Park near Milwaukee

Looking for recommendations on campgrounds in Wisconsin, near Milwaukee or Madison. Now that full timing is looking like a reality, trying to look at visiting friends we haven't seen in many years...rvparkreviews paints a not so pretty picture!

Thanks,

Betty

We have stayed at the Wisconsin State Fair Park several times. It is an all paved area with full hookups. Right off I-94 Exit 306. Most of the sites you will need to level your rig. Lots of sites, can be busy during State Fair time.
I think the next closest park might be in West Bend. So this park is about the closest in to Milwaukee as far as I know.

If you are only staying a couple of days and don't need a sewer hookup, Dane County, Madison, has 3 nice parks. Two on the south side of Madison (Lake Farm and Babcock) and one in Middleton. The one in Middleton (Mendota Park) might be a tight fit for the length of your monty,as it has a circular, tree lined drive. We stayed there with our 2880, 31' without a problem. It is convenient and inexpensive and tree covered. You can find the info online at http://www.countyofdane.com/lwrd/parks

We live just outside of Milwaukee. Our favorite spot is Bong State Recreation area. We were just there this weekend. We have a very nice campground out by Mukwonago called Country View that has a pool and full hookups. The KOA at Madison is run by nice people and convenient to everything.

Wisconsin State Parks require a state park sticker and have 30 amp electric. They have dump and water available at the campground entrances. Let me know if we can help.
