Newbie Question -- Hooking up Converter Boxes

Just purchased 2004 3400RL -- I want to connect digital converter boxes to each tv as they are not digital.
I understand the concept of hooking the converter boxes up as I use them for spare TV's at home. Everything I have read talks about the video switcher boxes used in most RV's. As the Montana does not use this system, I need some help connecting the converters. Also I read somewhere if you hook the converter up to antenna with a booster it will fry the converter.
Please help!!

thanks

I use converter boxes in conjunction with the OEM Winegard batwing and the antenna booster and have had no problems whatsoever.
The converters are a simple installation, just hook them in series with the existing cable/satellite feeds for each TV. There is no difference in the installation than that required for a stickhouse installation. The only difference is in the cabinet atop the living room TV where there is (at least on ours) a couple of coax connections which can be confusing if you also have a DVD and surround sound installed. I intercept the coax after the factory installed splitter and install the converter box on the leg opposite the one that goes to the DVD-surround sound. Hope this helps.

I tried putting mine in place of the sat receiver. It would not work. Put it after the splitter and it worked fine. I used the booster with the converter without an issue.

Bobby-- Just sell that golf cart and trailer behind your Monte and you could afford those two new flatscreens!

Bobby,
We just saw the converter box's at Walmart in Kansas City. I also saw them at Radio Shack. I put them in my 3000rk over a year ago and the reception is great. I'd love a couple of flat screens in my rig but we just don't watch enough TV when traveling to justify the expense. The only pro I see to the flat screens is the reduction in weight.
Msjan, mine work much better with the booster on.

Thanks for all of your help. We are taking our Montana to a local park (Markham Park in Fort Lauderdale) for our first trip this weekend to make it ours. We will be putting our "stuff" in it.
