Front leveling justs

front leveling jacks, 2009 montana 3400rl, only the left one goes up and down, lifts the montana off my truck but then drop the leg to support the right, shaft inside turns but nothing happens, I did started lifting the front while the back was down, then saw my mistake and stopped , wonder if I sheared something off in the shaft, notice that the hydro fluid is 1/2 full when not in use full when jacks are running.

On my 2006, the front jacks are connected by a pipe because the motor is on one side. There is a cheap screw that is used to tie the rod to the other jack. I have sheared a few screws over time. My suggestion is to check to see if the screw is sheared. If so, get a new one at a hardware store--back in business. Hope the cheap fix works!

Thanks for the infor , so is it tied to the shaft inside by the propane bottle storage area or at the end of the large front storage area on the right.

Mine is on the left side of the large storage area (passenger side). You should be able to see the rod that goes all the way across the compartment. When my previous SOB had a broken bolt and it was replaced, you had to align the jacks to make sure they are even. A repair person did this on my SOB but shouldn't be very hard to do after I watched him. I needed the repair person due to getting the camper on the truck so it could be taken to the shop. The repair person brought two large jacks and a 4x4 board that went across the bottom of the camper to not stress it as he jacked it up.

The above are correct. Shear bolt on the curb side ties the square driveshaft to the jack Bolt is a 1/4-20 1 1/2" long, I believe. Can get them at any hardware store. The one on the motor (driver side) is 1/4-20 1". Both use 1/4-20 nylock nuts to secure. Cheap and easy fix. Some folks have used an allen wrench in a pinch to get the grea down. Make sure to align both legs (same length) before bolting.

The hydraulic fluid is not related to your electric front jacks. With the slides all in , the fluid level should be about 1" from the top of the reservoir ... with the slides out, it will always be considerably lower. If you need to top off the fluid, get the cheapest Dextron hydraulic fluid available at say Wally World. Always go by the fluid level with the slides in.
