Here's an interesting article on insulation

This link shows how an owner of a Challenger improved the R-value of his trailer. http://firedude.thefiredude.com/content/view/293/60/

Looks like an effective project.

I did the very same thing, just a month ago. I was near a construction site and they had thrown away a bunch of scraps of the same insulation and looking at it I thought, "Hey, I think I can make use of that to insulate my 5er in the basement". So I picked it all up and did just that and it has helped a lot

Ya, well "FREE" is always good thing. But the idea for insulating is even better. The foam is not that expensive.

You're right about the insulation, Outahere. We need it for hot weather as much as cold. Should be a great improvement.

Thanks Judy, I was looking for a "cheap"' way to insulate the underbelly of our Monty. This was perfect.

Hey
Even when my slides our out and sealed well, there is leakage around the slide gaskets. I am thinking of adding a second seal on the inside. Any suggestions on what to use.

Duct tape??? Actually, I would be interested in an answer to this, also. Something I have always wondered about... how good of a weather seal are these slide seals?
