Got the Truck

We just found the truck we think is right for our needs. A 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, crew cab, short bed. We should settle on it this week. We're getting very anxious to take the Monty (3295RK) to the Atlantic shore in September. We're also looking forward to meeting our fellow Monty members as we travel through this great country of ours. Life is good!

See you down the road

Rudi, I just read there is a recall on the GM trucks from about 1999-2002 to fix a problem that has caused over 200 accidents. You might check it out. If you don't find anything, click the envelope icon above this post and email me and I'll dig out the info for you best I can. I'm not sure if yours is one of them but I remember the Silverado was listed.

Good choice, I pull my 3255 with a 2500HD dura-max. Couldn't ask for better performance.
