Rear Electric Jacks

For those of you who have Level Up or similar ... do you still have the rear electric stabilizer jacks to cover the 10' - 14' hanging out in the air behind the last set of Level Up cylinders ... or is that even an issue with the 6 point levelers? Has anyone bought the ears to bolt on the Level Up feet so you could continue to use JT Stabilizers or ... is it just so stable you just stick with the 6 point system? The reason I ask ... at the RV shows here lately, I've been siting in several units with the 6 point system and they are noticeably wiggly especially sitting in the rear. More so than my current unit with JT's but W/O Level Up. Maybe they just had the feet kissing the floor ... maybe 4-6 people milling around inside made the difference.

We have found the level up/six legs to be very stable with no need for anything additional.

Same here, 6 point, no need for JTs and we had JTs on our last unit as a comparison.

Love the six point leveling system, Find it to be very stable and easy to use. This is the best upgrade on the 5'er that I have!!

Ours came with the Level Up, and short of having the frame sitting on concrete blocks, it will shake a little if there is someone moving at the far end, front or rear. It doesn't bother us as it is still very stable and we have seen no need for any additional stabilizers.

We kept our rear stabilizers and use them whenever we are staying for a longer period of time. It does make a difference, but not enough you'd want to add them to a new rig. On the other hand, if like us, you already own them keep them and use them as you see fit.

We have the 6 pt Lippert jacks. Yes it will shake when the washer goes in spin sometimes. You can feel the wife walking around sometimes. But, I do not want to have to deal with the JT stabilizers.

Ours is a short 35' trailer so we do not have the huge rear overhang, and I plan on doing nothing to the jacks.

Hi

My house is on steel beams over a 50ft wide clear span garage. The house shakes when the washing machine spin dries and when the wind exceeds about 20 Mph.

So we don’t notice the shake in the trailer and we have the old electric front legs and rear stabilizers.

Thanks for the replies as like I mentioned, it might have been that they just kissed the floor at the shows or the volume of people in them at one time.
JLB27537 ... what do you mean by "dealing with the JT's"? Twirl the T's tight setting up ... twirl T's breaking camp. It can't get much easier ... can it? Aside from the kudos of the Level Up here, they surely beat dragging the ole tripod around ... at least for me.

I had JTs on previous 2008 Montana and the instructions involved a little more than tightening the "T's" to finish setting up. Have they changed the procedure? My 6 point system makes our Montana very stable. Our favorite park requires wood under stabilizers so I just put a 2 x 10 x 12 under each one everywhere we set up.

David ... aside from twirling the t's, you're supposed to bump the front legs down a smidge to take the play out ... still no biggie. I've used JT's since 2006 and am sold on them for the fivers I've owned.

We had the JT's on out 06 3400 but did not see the need for them with the 6 point on our 13 3402.

Our 3725 has the six point level up system, and we don't detect and appreciable amount of movement in the trailer. Very stable, far more so than the old "landing gear/rear stabilizers" that were on our others. Even with a 35 MPH wind blowing, we detected no movement.

We're sold on the level up's.
