Home Theater System

I purchased my 05 Montana 5th wheel used and there is no remote for the Quest QR2000 home theater system. Cannot seem to find one on the internet. About ready to give up. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

Richard, Welcome to the Forum!

I've had the same trouble as you trying to find them (Quest). You'll probably have to go through a Montana Dealer, or you can call them direct -

Quest
514-457-2555 (Canada)
www.questhifi.com (Not Verified)

Keep in mind, the unit is worth about $49, so anything past 12 minutes of effort finding a remote and you'll be loosing money. Chances are high that it doesn't even work, as there have been many problems with these. I personally would just replace it with a better unit.

Here is the link

http://www.skywood.com.cn/dvd/QR4000.htm

They do not list the QR2000 anymore though.

druryg - you found it! You should PM Glenn and Lorraine and tell Glenn to update the MOC OEM Equipment link to the correct company for Quest.

From the last reply, it looks like you found it. I tried going to the link provided, but couldn't find the remote I need or the Quest QR2000. Is it really there? I am thinking about buying a cheap replacement at Walmart if I cannot order the remote easily. Thanks for all the effort you have made.

Richard,

Camping World had a complete DVD - 5.1 Sound replacement system for $49. There is probably similar at WalMart and the others.

Richard,

The link on the second post has e-mail information and phone numbers. You might send them an e-mail and ask if the remote is still available for the QR2000, may even be the same as the QR4000. I replaced my QR4000 after watching one movie. Would sell it but did not think anyone would purchase it. I would recommend Brads approach and replace it.

I guess I really don't understand, with the 60 plus thousand dollars the dealers claim some of these units list for and you are buying DVD players out of your pocket and replacing them. I am on my third DVD player in 9 months and they will get real tired of seeing me because they will keep replacing it until they get it right. The dealer is making a large mark up on these units it about time they treated the customer with some respect and make these right without us going to BEST BUYS. Thats what they want us to do and get out of their hair. Just venting......... thank you

Chuck,
I don't necessarily disagree with you, but it seems to just be one of the lumps of the business.

Our Dealer has reached into his own pocket a few times, but I don't expect it. He can't stay in business too long if he tries to correct Keystone problems, and Keystone can't stay in business if they go with higher end equipment than the competitors.

What is really sad to me is that there is actually a market out there for QV4000s, Mission Tires, Apollo Ovens.... Shame on me for supporting that market. I would gladly pay $100K for the rig if I knew it meant I would put the overseas markets out of business, but I can't do it all by myself.

Hey Brad,
Sorry to wander off topic, but couldn't help but wondering if everything is all right in Colorado land. Have missed your posts for awhile (either not seeing them or you are not posting??), and definitely missed your contributions. Of course with the snow finally gone (I assume) you may be out in the rig and incommunicado!!
Regardless, good seeing your posts again.

Hi Bingo,

Thanks for asking! Long story short, I had an experimental heart procedure performed about two months ago to correct a birth defect (hole) and it has changed my health dramatically - for the good. I no longer am on oxygen and I'm able to exercise myself back into shape! I've taken the last month or so to enjoy life, family, even work. Heck, I even gave the Monty and bath and took it to the lake for 5 days over Mothers Day to enjoy the water - even though it is ccccccold still.

Mothers Day and a very happy Grand-dad to be!

So I stay on topic for the first part, the Logitech Harmony remotes work great if you can't find a Quest remote. On non-topic, glad to hear that you are doing better, Brad. Best of luck with the new lease on life. It sounds as though it has made a huge improvement in your quality of life.
