Service Question for FTiming
For those of you that do not have a stick home or permanent home base, how do you go about getting service, especially warranty, work performed? Do you have to use a Keystone facility or any RV center (Camping World, Good Sam, etc).
Thanks
Phil P.

If a problem with the Montana itself were to arise I would be looking first for the closest Montana dealer or Keystone dealer.
If it were an appliance such as the frig or furnace I would first be looking for a Montana dealer or Keystone dealer and in lieu of those two any RV dealer as the appliances are covered by the appliance manufacturer.
If it was the tires I would be looking for a tire dealer handling that particular brand.
Of course if it was the TV I would be looking for a GMC dealer.

Our experience has been to call Keystone, tell them where you are or are going to be and have them direct you to the appropriate dealer for warranty work. We have had warranty work done at several different places and have not had a problem.

We've found it works well to call Keystone with the problem description, and let them tell you if it is their item to fix (and the nearest Dealer(s), with phone #s) of if you need to work with the vendor directly. In that case, the vendor determines their "Authorized Service" location in your area...could be a Camping World, or any of several various dealers (not necessarily Montana or Keystone)in the vicinity. They also work out the method, timing and address for parts delivery with you. We've been through the process with Thetford (toilet valve) more times than I like to recall..but it works fine.

So far, we haven't had any problems that warranted any emergency measures. We are back near our dealer when we go back North so we call them and schedule an appointment. We tell them when we are going to be back in the area and what the problem is and our service tech tells us what she needs. She gets authority from Keystone to have the repairs done and the parts ordered. She calls us when the parts come in and we "git r dun"
If we needed emergency repairs, like the others, we would contact Keystone and get referred to an authorized dealer.

We have had only a few problems and have called our dealer service Dept. Last year we had some delamination problems they called Keystone and they sent us to a fiberglass place.
By the way we where way past warranty and Keystone coverd the whole repair .
