Fireplace/dvd player

When I turn my fireplace on the dvd player which is just above the fireplace will not play. I think it may be getting too hot. Is there a fix for that.......or....? Use the hammer again
The problem almost seems like a manufacturing design problem. Above the dvd player is the tv. That whole area is warm.
Any ideas?

I have not had any trouble with mine, but my dvd player is above the tv. Actually now that I think about it, I have not had any trouble with the heat effecting the tv either. I would say you got a bad dvd player and would have your dealership order you a new one while under warranty. Just my thoughts....

No problem with the fire place affecting my DVD player however I have to keep the door to the DVD area propped open when playing a DVD since the "NEW" textured glass in my 07 3000RK "blocks" the signal from the remote. During reciept inspection noted this and the dealer called the manufacturer. The "Factory" is aware of this problem but has not modified the design so the units coming off the production line tomorrow will have the same limitation. We are looking for a hinge that will hold the door open on its own but still allow us to close the door when not using the DVD.

Thanks to all of you
I am going to try and work on the replacement of the unit.

I also have the door issue too. Bill if you find a solution let me know. I am looking for a hinge too.
