DRW truck Wanted for future

I currently have a 01 and it is getting rusty with NH winters and the north east in general. I have under 190 on the odometer and is getting up there. I realize I wont have antique plates with this truck and I am wondering if there is a newer DRW somehwere in the offering.
Simple and under 30K. I realize the new ones are approaching high 60's.
Yup a 50% discount for a fellow MOC'er. I would love the 6.7's but I have serious reservations about fords diesels from the 6.0 through the latest Bosh injection pump failures.
So if it is a Ford skip 04 thru 11 lineup. Cummins is preferable during those years.
I'm in southern NH.

Just thought I would throw this out there in case there is a DRW for sale. Yes I have checked craigs list and ebay and all the other local advertisements. But you know a knowledgeable group like the MOC is the best place to start.
I hate to see the Limited Edition Dually go. Maybe it would be cheaper to do a rebuild than replace. Your thoughts may help also.
PM me what you think for this working stiff with years to go for retirement. Thanks to LadyRV and the MOC for our little participation on this group.

My budget was under 30K myself, IMHO I would not shy away from a ford 6.7 they have NO relation to the International 6.0 and 6.4 powerstroke as for Cummins great motor but they had automatic trans problems in those middle years that is why you see so many with a 6 speed manual but the newer Asin auto's in 2013 I do believe are ALOT better ,but as a former Ford guy I could not afford a 6.7 Ford and did not want a manual dodge so I turned trader and Went to the Duramax/Allison combo . and glad I did I have had a 2003 and now my 2007 LBZ Duramax they have been IMO the most reliable combo thru all the 2000,s..(Except for their stupid leaking $40.00 trans cooler lines)...just my 2 bits

I did honestly check here first. Considering the quality of people here and respectful of all of your opinions. I also have researched all over. Being a working siff and will be for at least another half a decade. I use the truck for daily commute 22 miles each way daily. I know not cost effective. JUST financially does not make sense to have 3 vehicles.
I'm at a delema sell the Monty and move on or try to preserve the dream and continue on.
I can't afford to replace it.
Its not currenty being used. work and other health reasons. I'm only early 50's and I could work it out with medical for the Misses. It just gets tougher with the current costs of full hookup camping and fuel for a week away.
I'm not complaining, Just that the zone plan camping via thousand trails would be a benefit here in the north east with over $55 bucks/ night at a decent place.

Thanks big sky Jimmy
I agree the durmax allison is a great combination. I agree with you about the Aisin tranny and the dodges. Either one of those are my preference over the ford attempt at diesel trucks.

But with the performance numbers on gassers vs my old 7.3 bullet proof motor (jinksing myself here). The cost of fuel and being a weekend warrior with a few weeks out of the year. It might be an option for gas vs diesel.
But with that being said I still prefer the diesel (it is personal decision)

Yep,I tell ya what I really miss my old Ford V10 Gasser but when I bought my 2012 them my 2015 the Ole V10 f350 was way over it's head power wise to handle the Big Boys but the V10 did great with my 2004 34ft Big Sky.......But Glad I have the Duramax It took me a long time to find a 2006-2007 LBZ Which is the most sought after Duramax's but I was lucky enough to finally find a Nice one for under 30K (24K ) 3 months ago

I hope you realize the newer diesels all use DPFs and now DEF to minimize smog production. They are designed to run hard for long periods of time. Using one as a daily driver of only 22 miles a day each way is asking for problems. Don't do it!

That is one of the reasons a lot of folks want the 2006-2007 LBZ Duramax last year without DPF and they went to the 6 speed Allison VS the 5 speed AND upped the TQ to 650lbs.and easily upgraded for more

Chris, I will just throw this out there. My buddy blew his tranny last summer while out west pulling his heavy SOB Toy Hauler fiver. His truck, a 2006 or 2007, didn't have tons of miles but faced with a huge repair bill we searched for a 3 or 4 year old dually.

What we found was that if searching Craig's List, AutoTrader, or some of the other sites you almost had to do a nationwide search to get a wider selection. Maybe you have already expanded out to other surrounding states, but if you haven't give it a try.

Also, keep in mind if you locate one several states away don't be shy about reaching out to a MOC member to go inspect the truck for you. I'm sure someone would help you out.

Not sure why a 2011 6.7 is on your bad boy list. We have one, has never been in the shop except for a commuter flash update. I have been able to do all oil changes, filters, etc myself.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm not a fan of DEF either and I know about the regeneration cycles. That kinda makes me even more leery of the locals that use diesels for a landscaping business with all the start and stopping and short cycling.

I'm sorry to hear of the craigs list issues you have been having. When I had my SOB I went thorough a similar experience Cash offer and low balling the price. I did end up selling to a dealer from canada for a mutual price but it was a 20% lower than the book. I didn't beat myself up over it because I knew I was purchasing a better, bigger unit.
Dick pointed me to your listing but it is SRW and I know I'm still in the research phase and not ready to jump into it just yet.
Best wishes and many happy camping trips.
Chris
