Start generator using house battery?

We're adding a used Honda generator (EU3000is) to our Montana. The placement we have in mind will mean we can't access the pull-start. Rather than replace the old battery we are wondering if anyone uses battery power from their bank of house batteries to start the generator?

Snitz100, PLEASE remember to vent the genny to the outside if you are putting it in a closed area. Not sure if anyone has put an electric start on their Honda, didn't know that was possible, but who knows???

My Onan used the trailer battery to start. Just remember it the trailer battery is weak then you are in double trouble. It won't start the generator and the appliance (refrig, water heater and furnace) that need 12VDC to operate will not work.

We don't have a generator and I'm not very knowledgeable about them but in another thread I just read that there is a remote starter available for the Honda 3000 generator. You might check that other thread. I don't recall the subject line but it's in today's active topics.
